Yes. We fill tanks brought in from outside, as long as they have a current visual inspection (VIP) sticker. Tanks without a valid VIP cannot be filled — this is a safety and liability requirement.
Absolutely. Drop your tank off with us, run your errands, and pick it up filled. Just make sure your tank has a current VIP sticker before dropping it off.
We fill aluminum 80s to 3,000 PSI and steel tanks to their rated pressure (typically 3,442–3,500 PSI). Let us know your tank’s specifications and we’ll fill accordingly.

VIP stands for Visual Inspection Procedure. It’s an annual internal inspection of your tank performed by a certified inspector. Without a current VIP sticker, no reputable shop will fill your tank — it’s a safety and liability standard.
Yes. We perform tank VIPs in-house. It’s a quick inspection and we’ll have you back in the water as soon as possible. Cost is minimal and well worth it.
Tanks require an annual visual inspection (VIP) and a hydrostatic test every 5 years. We perform VIPs in-house and can advise you on hydro testing if your tank is due.
A hydrostatic test checks the structural integrity of your tank under high pressure. In the US, steel and aluminum tanks require hydro testing every 5 years. The date is stamped on the tank neck. We can advise you and coordinate testing if yours is due.
Most fills are completed within 15–30 minutes, depending on current volume and tank size. We’ll let you know if there’s a wait.

If we find a problem during the VIP — such as corrosion, pitting, or a damaged valve — we’ll show you the issue and discuss your options. Depending on severity, the tank may need cleaning, valve replacement, or it may need to be condemned and taken out of service.
Filling to rated pressure is safe as long as your tank and valve are in good condition with a current VIP. Overfilling beyond the rated pressure is dangerous and something we never do. If your tank’s rating is unclear, we’ll check it before filling.
Nitrox (enriched air) has a higher oxygen content than standard air, which allows for longer bottom times and shorter surface intervals. It requires a Nitrox certification to use. We offer Nitrox certification courses and can discuss whether it’s right for your diving style.
